What's going on!

It's has been forever since I last posted! Life has been extremely busy for us! As most of you know, I am teaching for my first year. I teach 4th grade Reading, Writing, and Language Arts. I have never had a job that was so stressful and time consuming!!! Most of my hours are spent working frantically until late in the evening at school. I guess that is expected as a first year teacher. The age of my students, 9 to 10 years old, is such a fun age! Most actually get my jokes or sarcasm, and then there a few who give me the "I don't know what you mean" look! I have an amazing principal and have made great friends along the way.

Zane has been working hard putting out fires and making all sorts of emergency responses. He absolutely loves his job!

Not much else is new with us....just working away!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and hopefully getting time off to enjoy with family!!! Gobble Gobble!!

Happy Anniversary!

Zane and I just recently celebrated our one year anniversary! WOW! I can't believe it's already been one year! Zane took charge and planned a fun weekend in San Antonio. We stayed on the River Walk and had good food, listened to local music, and even managed to squeeze in a trip to the outlet stores in San Marcus. It was so nice for both of us to get away and enjoy our time together!

Remember the Alamo!!!

Enjoying the top of our wedding cake!

We went to "Howl at the Moon" piano bar and you could write messages on a mirror...

Our New Love!

Zane and I have recently fallen in love with Gatorade 2! Our new thing is to put them in the freezer for a couple of hours, and then have a nice slushy treat! Delicious!!!

Look What's For Dinner!

Tonight, Zane and I made a wedge salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. We ate this yummy little thing at an awesome steak house in Shreveport when we visited Zane's parents recently. We loved it so much that we created our own version tonight! It was so darn good! And to top it off, we warmed up some home-grown corn from our corn field last year that was frozen!

The Working Man

I went to visit Zane yesterday at the station. I was there for about 15 minutes and then he got a run. Here is a quick video of Zane and his partner leaving in the ambulance. The fire truck was right behind, but my darn camera's battery ran out.....but still kinda fun to see your husband at work!
